Through my research, I discovered that I am descended from the founders of Quebec, from English and French nobility, from ten Mayflower passengers, from Italian farmers, Scottish POWs that were kicked out of Scotland by Thomas Cromwell in the 1600s, and so much more!

My wife discovered that she is descended from the first settlers of Jamestown Colony in Virginia, from the Dean of St. George's Chapel (1614) in Windsor Castle in England, that some of her ancestors were coal miners in Pennsylvania, haberdashers in England, bootmakers in Germany, and nobility in Lithuania. Absolutely fascinating.

My Experience

My wife and I have English, Italian, French-Canadian, Native American (Mohegan), Irish, Scottish, German, Polish and Czech ancestry. I have researched exensively in many other countries.

I am the author of the 600+ page genealogy The Hersey Family - Tracing the Descendants of William Hersey of Hingham, MA 1635-Present.
